When installing the six parts of the jaw crusher, namely the eccentric shaft, connecting rod, toggle plate, movable jaw and tooth plate, which areas should we pay attention to?
Jaw crushers are mainly used for coarse and medium crushing in industries such as mining, building materials, and infrastructure. They have a simple structure and reliable operation. Correct installation and standardized operation are the foundation for the stable operation of the equipment.
The following introduces the key points of the installation and operation of the jaw crusher.
First, jaw crushers are usually installed on a cement foundation. Due to the significant vibration of the crusher, it is necessary to isolate the foundation of the crusher from that of the factory. When assembling the crusher, the frame of the crusher should be installed on the foundation first, and then the other components should be installed in sequence.
First,When installing the jaw crusher frame, some materials that can absorb vibration, such as hardwood or rubber, should be placed between the frame and the concrete. The horizontal and vertical levelness of the frame when installed on the foundation or on the wooden seat needs to meet the installation requirements of the equipment. When installing the rack, the horizontal and vertical levelness of its placement on the foundation should both be less than 0.2mm.
Second, key points for assembling the eccentric shaft and bearings of the jaw crusher: Before assembling the shaft and bearings, the sliding bearings need to be ground and fitted. Then, place them in the sliding bearing housing. Use a level to check the levelness and coaxiality of their placement. If the measurement results meet the requirements, install the eccentric shaft on the bearing. The fit between the shaft and the bearing can be checked by applying red lead powder on the journal.
If there are too many high points on the surface of the sliding bearing, further scraping is required until the high points between the contact surfaces disappear. Finally, apply a certain amount of lubricating oil between the bearing housing and the bearing to reduce the wear of the shaft. The contact area between the eccentric shaft sliding and the frame should be no less than 80%, and the gap between them should be less than 0.07mm.
Third, Installation of the connecting rod of the jaw crusher. After the above parts are installed in place, the connecting rod can be installed.Before assembling the connecting rod, a careful inspection of the connecting rod and the position to be assembled should be carried out. After confirming there are no issues, lift the connecting rod with a crane and clean the entire connecting rod with gasoline or kerosene. After cleaning, apply a layer of oil on the surface of the connecting rod to ensure smooth installation.
Then, install the upper bearing, the main shaft, the upper bearing and the upper housing of the connecting rod. After that, lift the connecting rod, install the connecting rod bolts on the connecting rod and tighten them. If the gasket is added between the upper housing of the connecting rod and the connecting rod and the fit is not tight, causing oil leakage, the gasket should be processed or a new gasket should be installed. If conditions permit, The connecting rod and main shaft parts can be assembled externally and then lifted into the frame as a whole using a crane.
Fourth, key points for installing the toggle plate of the jaw crusher: When installing and disassembling the toggle plate of the jaw crusher, you can loosen the spring nut of the pull rod, remove the spring, and then use a chain or steel wire rope to tie it to the lower part of the moving jaw. Then, use a crane to pull the steel wire rope to bring the moving jaw closer to the fixed jaw. After that, the toggle plate will fall off automatically. During installation, just repeat the above steps in reverse.
Fifth, key points for the installation of the movable jaw of the jaw crusher: First, assemble the movable jaw components accordingly. After completing the assembly of the movable jaw, movable jaw shaft, movable tooth plate, toggle plate pad, etc. on the ground, use a crane or hoist to lift the assembled components together into the frame of the crusher.
For sliding bearings, it is necessary to first ground and fit the bearing with the bearing housing to install the sliding bearing in place. At the same time, the coaxiality and slope of the sliding bearing assembly should be inspected. The slope should be guaranteed to be within 0.2mm, and the coaxiality should be less than 0.06mm, so as to complete the assembly of the movable jaw.
Sixth, key points for the installation of the tooth plate of the jaw crusher: The tooth plate of the jaw crusher is a component directly used for crushing ores. Its structure is simple, but due to frequent contact with ores, it needs to be replaced frequently. The cross-sectional structure shape of the tooth plate has two types: smooth surface and grid surface. Because of its relatively large weight, it needs to be made into a structure that is easy to replace.
The tooth plate is fixed with bolts or wedges, and it is fixed on the front wall of the frame or the movable jaw. The contact surface between the two must be straight. If there is a high point in the contact, it needs to be dealt with in time. Since the inner side of the front wall of the frame is not processed, a layer of soft metal gasket is placed between the back of the fixed jaw plate and the front wall of the frame to ensure the tightness of their combination.
Whether the installation and assembly of the jaw crusher are in place largely determines the performance of the equipment, so correct installation and operation are very important.
